How to defeat Giant in Sonic Frontiers

1. Platform phase

Once you have seen the scene that shows Sonic ready to face the Titan, you will take control of it at the bottom of a large circular valley with Giant trampling near the medium.

In a vaguely similar way to Shadow of the Colossus, Sonic has to climb to Giant to reach the emerald of chaos planted on his forehead. With much, the easiest way to do this is to approach Giant from behind and make Sonic jump to the bright blue rings line that rise to his ankles.

This will launch Sonic by the air and slow down for a short period. While this happens, be sure to bow to Sonic to be directly in front of the side of Giant's arm. Once you are at a safe height to do so, go up again to Giant and continue pressing the impulse button to climb your arm.

On the side of Giant's arms there are more bright blue rings. Once you guide Sonic to them, he will be sent up again, but this time above Giant and in the General Directorate of the Emerald of Chaos.

How

You should have enough impulse to land with him without the need to drive, and you will have completely avoided the obstacles in his back in the process. Interact with the emerald of chaos, and you will be prepared to begin the fight with giant itself.

two. Phase one (100% HP)

In the classic Sonic style, the total number of rings will run out all the time you play as Super Sonic. Fortunately, whenever you enter the fight with a total decent total, Giant will have zero HP long before that happens.

First, a General Council for Giant (as well as for any other titan fight): the game tutorial for this phase says that the key to this battle is to inflict great damage efficiently, and that is absolutely the case. However, more than just attacking, it is vital to implement the powerful movements that you have gained through Sonic's skill tree, because basic combo damage is simply not enough.

His first step will be to drive immediately to close the distance between Sonic and Giant. After that, you will be sure to start your first combo. The Sonic Boom ability is a good option here, but any of the others will work equally.

What you are really waiting for is Giant's first attack, in which the camera will move away, and the Titan will roll its arm to continue with a punch (in the photo above). This is your signal to keep the stop and wait buttons immediately.

If it was fast enough, a button will appear that will allow Sonic to make a counterattack. It is important to keep in mind that this notice remains for a long time. If you want to maximize your damage, you have enough time to fit another strong attack here before continuing with the notice.

This sequence should have Giant HP about 50% (if it is not yet). The damage will vary depending on how many seeds of power and defense you have won to this point, but continues to follow the previous advice, and you will go to the next phase in a short time.

3. Phase two (50% HP)

Phase two begins with a scene transition showing a laser of lasers shooting from Giant's back. The boss wins some new movements in this phase that you should be attentive, and the first one you will probably see is the ray attack.

This movement will occur after a scene in which Giant opens his mouth. Instead of having to dodge the movement yourself, the game will show a fast time event. Simply press the button on screen repeatedly and avoid all damage.

Another new attack in this phase will see Giant run suddenly towards Sonic with his arms stretched behind his back. As soon as you see this, he reacts in the same way stopping once again a stop. Like the blow of the first phase, this will also allow Sonic unleashing a powerful counterattack.

In this phase, Giant is also much faster to attack in general. Be sure to keep up and be ready to stop when the right time.

Apart from these two new movements and an increase in giant attack speed, the previous phase strategy will work until Giant has zero HP. Once that happens, it will balance from one side to another until Sonic approaches and make a final attack to seal the treatment.

Congratulations on defeating Titan! Enjoy the scene.
