The ascent: How to travel quickly

One of the first things I was looking for in The Ascent was how to quickly travel between the fields. Why you can ask, and the reason is easy. The Cyberpunk world of Ascent is actually pretty big, and not only that, you can easily lose in the game very early in the game. At the moment you start your journey, some areas are open, many of them for a higher character, and it was just beautiful to easily run around and see what surprises the next district is available for more. Nevertheless, I was of course lost and far away from my main goal, and how best to get back into the main hub, as just to travel there. If only…

How to travel quickly in The Ascent

Fast travel in The Ascent is not self-explanatory. In fact, it is easy to completely overlook the point on which you have unlocked it, just to see that you can travel much earlier in areas when you noticed it. The game does not hold you in hand and many things you should consider can only be found by reading Tutorial Texts from the menu. However, there are two means of transport, of which only one is unlocked at the beginning of their adventure. That would be the lover of all, train.

In The Ascent, there are scattered train stations everywhere in the world, and pretty much every bigger area has one. Through these stations, you can actually travel quickly to previously explored regions or to new regions that you will find across the board. Interact with any Zugwaggon or the station itself, and a menu with a list of all available areas opens. Just select the desired destination and you are ready.

Of course, to unlock this travel option, you must first unlock at least one second area with a train station to get over and up to there. In addition, you have to go through the story a little, and with little I mean that you go through the first main mission, and you should be able to find a train station very close to your destination. After you're done, just visit any train station and go where you want, as long as there is a train station.

Finally, the other means that you can travel quickly will be released in history and that would be through taxi service. This is different than the train, as you can call a taxi everywhere, as long as you are not in a brawl. Then the process is similar to above, so explore each area in the game, even the older ones you visited is a breeze. Take advantage of both methods and free all the chests and doors freely missed when exploring this gloomy world.
