It is Matthias Rustemeyer, who has begun his hunt for best times in the racing game in 2008 - so ten years ago. Since this day he has set up numerous records and stands worldwide at 31 of the 32 routes in the first place. On the other hand, the outstanding base is a very tricky challenge.

According to a report by the magazine Kotaku, this is mainly due to the fact that a kind of alliance has formed in the Speedrunner community. This would like to prevent Rustemeyer from cracking the last record in Mario Kart 64 and thus would almost be the sole ruler in this category.

Incidentally, the said route is Donkey Kong's Jungle Parkway, which is considered one of the most demanding disciplines in the racing game classic. Only recently Rustemeyer could survive the topstores, but nearly at the same time was one of his competitors - Daniel Burbank - three hundredths faster.

Thas were then the launch tracks for the Nintendo 64

However, the German can not be dissuaded from his project to become the sole record holder soon. The next attempts are already running, and maybe he actually succeeds in the near future.
