Fire Emblem players are furious about Feh Pass

Feh Pass offers a VIP subscription service at the F2P mobile game

The Fire Emblem Heroes players are furious after the recent announcement by Nintendo of the FEH Pass. The Pass offers exclusive features and characters to users who pay monthly subscription fees similar to Mario Kart World Tour.

The subscription costs 9.49 USD per month. In comparison, the Gold Pass Mario Kart World Tour costs only $ 4.99 per month.

The FEH Pass offers several advantages, the biggest draw being "resplendent heroes". These characters are slightly improved versions of the characters already in the game. The characters receive a boost of statistics and a new look. The Pass also offers exclusive missions and expands the invoker support system to include 3 characters. Another feature of the pass is a rewinding system, similar to Fire Emblem Three Houses, which allows players to go back in a turn and change their actions.

The Fire Emblem heroes' Surbreddit players expressed their disappointment with the announcement of the subscription service. In particular, fans are upset by the fact that updates on quality of life take place behind a paid wall. The competitive advantage granted to subscribers through improved statistics is another sensitive point for players.

Fire Emblem Heroes has been the most successful mobile game of Nintendo in 2019. The game reported $ 156 million over the year. These figures are still down compared to 2018 where the game reported 205 million US dollars. In 2017, the year of the launch of Fire Emblem Heroes, the game reported 295 million USD. It's an expected trend for mobile game, but Nintendo can try to counter this trend by introducing a new source of income from the game.

The FEH Pass should be available on February 5 with the update V 4.2. The first two resplendent heroes to go out on the service are Lyn of Fire Emblem 7 and Cordelia of Fire Emblem Awakening.
