A dream for PC players: Samsung shows new gaming monitor of superlatives
Gaming monitors are now like sand by the sea, but only least the few remain in memory PC players. With the new Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 that is likely to look different - because the screen is washed on the paper with really all waters.
Samsung Odyssey Neo G9: Giant monitor for demanding gamers
Anyone who has often played with the idea of getting a gaming monitor that is certainly pushed for some interesting models for short or long. The company offers gaming screens in all sizes and price ranges. The heart forms the G9 series, which now got offspring in the form of the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 .
The new gaming colossus is a 49-inch curved screen with 32: 9 aspect ratio, which offers a resolution of 5,120 x 1.440 pixels and a refresh rate of proud 240 Hz . Even that may seem almost overwhelming at first glance, but that's the beginning.
Thanks to mini-LED technology, the monitor in HDR mode reaches peak brightness values of incredible 2,000 cd / m² , and the screen offers a VA-panel with a good contrast ratio and fast response time of 1 ms, which mainly players of ego Shooters are likely to be happy.
Also interesting: as the predecessors support the model Full Array Local Dimming. This time, however, instead of loop 10 is equal to 2,048 dimming zones , so brightness differences in scenes can be much more fine and more accurate - that was at that time a criticism in our test. Also support for the VRR technologies AMD Freesync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync is on board.
